I joined your team and CCPRO in part because of your non-pressuring approach as
well as your up front honesty. You told me you'd love to have me join your team
if I decided that this was the right thing to do, but that you would completely
understand if I instead decided that this was not for me. You didn't give me
deadlines or attempt to force me to make a decision immediately. For me
personally, being forced to buy a product or join an organization on short
notice just sends up red flags that tell me there is a reason that no one wants
to allow me the time to look into the product.
Once I'd joined your team, you made sure I got the emails that got
me started on the right training. I think, though, that the video you sent me
yesterday re BIB training will make it even easier for new team members to
understand that this is where one starts, and that one should really concentrate
on this, and then on moving to the next step as one is guided. There are so many
webinars and training calls that one gets bombarded with the moment one joins
that is is easy to get distracted and off track from the very orderly training
plan set out. All of this slows down progress.
The other key point that you made to me in the beginning that was
very helpful was to tell me we would narrow my focus to the free social media
methods first, then move on to things like adwords. That helped me to understand
that this is what I needed to learn first, and so it helped prioritize. It was
also very helpful that you told me why we were doing this - since this media is
free, it makes for a training ground that won't send new team members to the
poor house before they even get started. It reminded me of what one of my
college roommates told me one day long ago - she was a nursing student and she
related how they were learning to give injections by sticking needles in
oranges, before they had to stick a human "guinea pig." Elise
